Get involved¶
The Canadian Space is built in the open. Whether you want to pitch a story, improve our data sources, or contribute code, there's a place for you.
Pitch a story¶
Have a space industry story we should be covering? Want to see us dig into a specific topic in our Monthly Deep Dives?
Email us at [email protected] with:
- The story or topic idea
- Why you think it matters
- Any relevant links or sources
We read everything and consider all pitches.
Suggest a data source¶
Know an API, RSS feed, or data provider we should be ingesting?
Open an issue on GitHub with:
- The source name and link
- Coverage area (e.g., "US launches," "international commercial space")
- Expected update frequency
- Any authentication requirements
We'll evaluate it for reliability, coverage, and ethical scraping concerns.
Report an error¶
Spot a factual error, broken link, or typo?
Open an issue on GitHub or email [email protected] with:
- What's wrong
- Where you found it (which post, which section)
- The correct information (if you have it)
We take accuracy seriously and fix errors quickly.
Contribute code¶
Want to build on our open-source stack (n8n workflows, Python scrapers, MkDocs wiki)?
Head to The Canadian Space GitHub organization and:
- Fork the repo you want to work on
- Create a branch for your feature or fix
- Open a pull request with a clear description
We use GitHub issues for tracking ideas and bugs. If you're not sure where to start, open an issue and ask—we're happy to point you in the right direction.
Remix & build your own¶
Our n8n workflows, scrapers, and data pipelines are designed to be remixable. If you want to:
- Use our data sources in your own project
- Fork and customize a workflow
- Build a new tool on top of what we've published
...you're welcome to. Most of our code is open-source. Check the repo for license details.
GitHub is our front door
All our code, issues, and discussions live on GitHub. If you can't find what you're looking for, open an issue—that's the fastest way to get our attention.
